English as a Second Language (ESL)
One of the ways Mosaic serves the community is through our English as a Second Language (ESL) program. Classes are offered with a variety of different interests and needs in mind. Our students range in age from 18 to 60! Read below to learn about our different class offerings and our teachers.
Classes
We offer two different tracks of classes. Students are welcome at both as each will provide a slightly different experience.
Mid-Week Track
Our Mid-Week track is designed for Beginning and Intermediate English speakers. The emphasis is on learning English skills that will allow the student to integrate into American society more readily. Classes are free, but Beginning level students may be asked to help offset the cost of workbooks. The class schedule is as follows:
- Tuesdays, 7:00—8:30 pm
- Thursdays, 7:00—8:30 pm
Our Teachers
Our teachers are trained, dedicated, native speakers who genuinely care about the learning and welfare of their students. We also have a number of “volunteers” who are just as passionate but for one reason or another have not yet attended a training program. All classes are led by a trained teacher.
